Hi, I’m Jaap.
I’m a young designer with a passion for the web. Dynamicka is my company name. With Dynamicka I create dynamic web experiences in a dynamic and iterative way.
With an academic background in strategic design (Strategic Product Design, Delft University of Technology – rated by Businessweek as a top design school) and a professional background in web development I strive to combine those two. I create integrated web experiences in a role of both designer and programmer. I can work without extensive specifications. And on the other hand – as a designer – I can keep the technical side in mind. I like to work in an agile matter, in quick iterations. In web projects I like to have a working prototype running very early in the process.
I am passionate about great graphical designs, good user interactions, good typography, but I also believe in clean code, object oriented programming and design patterns.
I believe in quality. This is why I like to work with top notch tools. When programming I mostly use the web development framework Rails — but there are exceptions of course.
